Abstract

A theoretical and experimental investigation into a Nd:YAG phase conjugate laser resonator is presented. The laser is passively Q-switched using stimulated Brillouin scattering in high pressure C2F6, however, unlike conventional techniques the Q-switch resides outside the resonator.
