Efficient Operation of an All-Solid-State Synchronously- Pumped Lithium Triborate Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

Efficient operation with tunability from 0.65μm to 2.65μm is achieved in an all-solid-state synchronously-pumped optical parametric oscillator based on a temperature-tuned Brewster angled lithium triborate crystal. Output powers of >80mW over the range 0.7 to 1.0μm (signal) and >50mW from 1.1 to 1.8μm (idler) have been demonstrated.
