High Efficiency, Pulsed Diode-Pumped Two Micron Laser

Abstract

Pulsed, diode pumped operation of Tm:Ho:YLF is reported. 38 mJ of multimode output was obtained at a 30 % slope efficiency. Additionally, 1.0 Watt of average power and 12 mJ of single transverse mode Q-Switched output was achieved.
