Abstract

Nd3+ doped hexaaluminate LMA LaMgAl11O19 is now a well known crystalline laser material, for its broad band absorption around 800 nm which allows pumping by non-thermally regulated laser diodes, for its laser emission around 1.08 μm which finds important applications in the fields of spectroscopy (He pumping) and magnetometry [1], and for its wavelength tunability between about 1.05 and 1.09 μm [2].
