Regenerative Amplification of 55-Femtosecond Pulses at a 1 kHz Repetition Rate: Model and Experiment

Abstract

Chirped-pulse amplification is used to generate 0.35 mJ, 55 fs pulses in Ti:Al2O3. We discuss the modeling done to produce this result and the limitations of the methods used. The use of a kHz post-amplifier is also discussed.
