Abstract

We report for the first time room temperature cw laser action of Pr:LiYF4 at six wavelengths in the green, red and near infrared spectral range. Furthermore we achieved cw laser emission of Pr:GdLiF₄ and Pr:KYF₄ on the ³P₀ → ³F₂ transition at 639 nm and 642.5 nm, respectively.
