Abstract

Efficient, flashlamp-pumped lasing performance has been demonstrated at both 1.059 and 1.328 μm using Nd3+ doped Sr5(PO4)3F. 1.8 J in long-pulse and 100 mJ in Q-switched operation have been achieved at 1.328 μm with the simplest, non-optimized resonators.
