Abstract

We passively Q-switched monolithic solid-state lasers with an antiresonant Fabry-Perot saturable absorber. This allows to individually design the absorber parameters such as absorption wavelength, saturation intensity and absorption depth. We demonstrated this technique at the example of a Nd:LaSc3(BO3)4 microchip laser and a Nd:YAG MISER.
