Abstract

Simultaneous lasing at 1.059 and 1.328 µm has been demonstrated in Nd3+ doped strontium fluorapatite Sr5(PO4)3F or S-FAP, in lamp-pumped operation. More than 1 joule of pulsed output energy has been achieved at each laser line. 589 nm laser emission has been demonstrated through the sum-frequency generation of these two wavelengths.
