Abstract

First results from a new method of time-resolved Fourier-transform spectroscopy using a continuously scanning spectrometer are presented. Observations of energy-transfer in the rare-earth-activated crystals (Yb, Ho):KYF4 and Nd:KLYF5 demonstrate the potential of the new technique for characterization of solid-state laser materials.
