Abstract

We report cw lasing of Yb³⁺ sensitized Tm³⁺: YAG and Ho³⁺:YAG on the transitions ³F₄ → ³H₆ and ⁵I → ⁵I₈ respectively with Ti: Al₂O₃-laser and diode excitation around 970 nm.
