Absolute frequency stabilization of a continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator to the sub-kHz level

Abstract

We report absolute frequency stabilization of a doubly-resonant optical parametric oscillator to an ultra-stable cryogenic reference resonator. The frequency instability is well below 1kHz for an averaging time of 1 minute.
