UV picosecond diode-pumped laser system seeded by a gain-switched laser diode

Abstract

Tunable microjoule picosecond pulses in the infrared (and in the UV by frequency conversion) have been obtained by seeding a 10 kHz indirectly diode-pumped Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier with a gain-switched laser diode.
