Abstract

A Raman self-frequency shift in femtosecond crystalline lasers, similar to, yet different from that in fibers, is investigated via mode-locking and Raman experiments in Cr:LiSAF and CriLiSGaF lasers, and compared with Ti:sapphire laser.
