Generation of 5-7 µm Radiation in AgGaSe2 and ZnGeP2 Optical Parameteric Oscillators Pumped with a 2.94-µm ErrYAG Laser

Abstract

A 2.936 µm ErrYAG laser is used to pump AgGaSe2 and ZnGeP2 OPOs to efficiently generate radiation in the 5-7 µm regions. Idler wavelength energy exceeding 2 mJ/pulse with a 15% slope efficiency is obtained.
