Abstract

We present results from numerical simulations of zinc germanium phosphide based optical parametric oscillators, and obtain good agreement with published experimental results. The effects of changing some critical parameters are investigated numerically. It is found that for high power pumping, the beam quality can be significantly improved with only a small drop in output energy by either increasing the resonator length or increasing the idler output coupling.
