Abstract

We present a Cr:YAG passively Q-switched Nd:YAG microlaser - Nd:YVO4 power amplifier system that generates 335-µJ, 370-ps pulses at a 2 kHz rate. Nonlinear conversion to second, third and fourth harmonics results in output power of 400, 240 and 86 mW, respectively.
