Abstract

Recent emergence of techniques which allow to use fibers with core sizes beyond the single-mode limit has enabled the development of a new generation of high energy and high power ultrashort-pulse fiber lasers with significantly enhanced practical characteristics, such as reliability, compactness and efficiency.
