Ultraviolet single-frequency pulses with 485 mW average power

Abstract

We report on a compact approach to obtain single-frequency pulses with high average power at 266 nm. An amplified, passively Q-switched monolithic Nd:YAG ring laser was frequency quadrupled with periodically-poled KTP and BBO as nonlinear media.
