Abstract

125 mJ was generated at 1.57 microns in a single beamline KTP Optical Parametric Oscillator-Amplifier with near quantum defect slope efficiency. The 1064 nm pump beam drive intensity was tailored for efficient conversion in the OPO-OPA with no conditioning, isolation or synchronization optics. A factor of two improvement in beam quality was obtained compared to the equivalent OPO in a compact and robust configuration.
