Abstract

Highly doped Yb:Y3Al5O12 crystals exhibit a strong fluorescence quenching when grown using traditional growth methods. Experiments with fully concentrated Yb3Al5O12 were performed to identify the reasons for this fluorescence quenching and circumvent them.
