Abstract

Numerical simulations demonstrate the stable multipulse oscillation and define the limits of femtosecond pulse generation for the Kerr-lens mode-locked Cr2+:ZnSe laser. Two mechanisms of the pulse destabilization are identified and ways to improve the mode-locking stability are discussed.
