Fabrication and evaluation of a 500 W cladding-light stripper

Abstract

We report a polymer-free cladding-light stripper able to remove 500W of residual light from a double-clad fiber without deteriorating. The stripping efficiency was >20 dB for high-NA light and 6 dB for low-NA light.
