All-fiber 170 fs pulses from a passively Q-switched microchip laser system

Abstract

We present a passively Q-switched microchip laser fiber amplification system, which delivers sub-ps pulses from an all-fiber configuration. Initial 100 ps microchip pulses at 1064 nm are shortened to pedestal-free 170 fs pulses at 1030 nm wavelength.
