High power, high efficiency fiber Raman laser pumped by multimode laser diodes at 975 nm

Abstract

A continuous-wave Raman laser comprising a multimode graded-index fiber diode-pumped at 975 nm reaches a slope efficiency of 80% at 1019 nm. The 20 W of output power is a record for any diode-pumped fiber Raman laser.
