A Quasi-mode Interpretation of Acoustic Radiation Modes for the Analysis of Acoustically Antiguiding Optcial Fibers

Abstract

We theoretically analyze acoustic leaky modes in acoustically antiguiding optical fibers based on a quasi-mode-interpretation method. The method is more intuitive and heuristic than other methods, in terms of understanding the characteristics of unbounded acoustic modes in optical fibers.
