Record Low Timing Jitter of a Free-Running High-Power MIXSEL

Abstract

A picosecond semiconductor laser (i.e. an optically pumped MIXSEL) generates 600-mW average output power at 2-GHz repetition rate with a record-low free-running sub-130-fs rms timing-jitter (100 Hz to 10 MHz).
