Yb:YAG Single Crystal Fiber Amplifiers For Cylindrically Polarized Laser Beams

Abstract

We report on recent progress in single-crystal-fiber amplifiers for the amplification of cylindrically polarized laser beams. With low thermally induced depolarization, this amplifier concept qualifies for conservation of polarization even at high powers.
