Abstract

We demonstrate a very compact high-order-harmonic generation source comprised of a hollow microstructure fiber, providing pulses at 1.7 µm with energies up to 100 µJ nonlinearly self-compressed to a single-cycle duration, which is directly coupled to a target gas cell in an evacuated XUV spectrometer. Efficient XUV generation above 50 eV is demonstrated.
