2.24 kW high peak power, linearly-polarized pulsed laser from a single all-fiber oscillator

We demonstrate a 2.24kW high peak power ytterbium-doped pulsed oscillator operated at 1080nm. The average output power reached 4.48W with polarization extinction ratio greater than 10dB under 50kHz repetition rate and 40ns pulse width.
