SESAM mode-locked chirp-pulsed oscillator with Nd,Y:SrF2 as gain medium

Abstract

We demonstrate an efficient Nd,Y:SrF2 chirp-pulsed oscillator. By SESAM stabilizing the mode-locking operation in positive near-zero dispersion regime, 4.2 ps laser pulse was generated, which is about 15 times of the Fourier transform limit.
