Thin-disk multipass amplifier with composite Yb:YAG/YAG active element

Abstract

During thin-disk multipass amplifier with composite Yb:YAG/YAG active element development laser head was constructed, thermal-induced phase distortion were investigated, high small signal gain was achieved and numerical simulation of pulse amplification was performed.
