Stimulated-Brillouin-Scattering-Based All-Fiber Passively Q-Switched Fiber Laser

Abstract

By suppressing the feedback of an all-fiber passively Q-switched Yb/Sm fiber laser, a fast stimulated Brillouin scattering self-Q-switched process which outputs 41 ns pulses and 1.7 kW maximum peak power is observed.
