Abstract

Self-frequency doubling combines laser and nonlinear optical properties and can be difficult to achieve. Yb:YCa4O(BO3)3 and Yb:BaCaBO3F crystals were grown by Czochralski method. Spectroscopic characterizations and laser (infrared and green) properties will be discussed.
