Dielectric nanosecond-pulse waveguide laser passively modulated by a topological insulator saturable absorber

Abstract

A topological insulator acting as an optical modulator was applied for pulsed laser generation based on the dielectric Nd:YAG waveguide platform in a double-cladding structure produced by femtosecond laser inscription.
