Numerical study on the noise-like pulse formation from multiple-pulses in a passively mode-lock fiber ring laser

Abstract

We investigate an extensive numerical study on the formation of noise-like pulse in a mode-locked fiber ring laser. Our study unveils the detailed interrelationship between the gain and nonlinear phase-shift in forming the noise-like pulses in a nonlinear-polarization rotation-based ring cavity.
