Passively Mode-locked 2 μm Bulk Laser with > 1 Watt Output

Abstract

In this paper, we reported a passively mode-locked 2 μm bulk laser with >1 W output. A maximum laser output power exceeding 1.2 W with a minimum pulse duration of 38.4 ps was achieved around 2 μm. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the highest output power from passively mode-locked lasers at 2 μm up to now.
