Abstract
In this work a Q-switched Nd:YVO4/Cr4+:YAG laser was developed with the peak power and output energy of 1.17 MW and 1.03 mJ correspondingly. By changing the temperature of Nd:YVO4 crystal control of the emission cross-section σem of the gain medium and thus Q-switch output was possible.
