Detailed Analysis of Nd3+, Lu3+ Codoped CaF2 Laser Crystals for Broadband Laser Operation

Abstract

Distinct stimulated emission and absorption cross-sections for the two main emitting centers in Nd3+, Lu3+:CaF2 laser crystals are identified along with their respective lifetimes and concentrations enabling the development of high peak power diode-pumped amplifiers.
