High Gain, High Efficiency Cryogenic Yb:YAG Ceramics Amplifier for Several Hundred Joules DPSSL

Abstract

A cryogenic Yb:YAG ceramics laser amplifier with high small-signal-gain of 33 and high stored energy of 170 J has been developed. A 55 J output energy with 10 ns pulse duration has been demonstrated.
