Long-wave Infrared Parametric Generation and Amplification in Orientation Patterned GaP

Abstract

We report what we believe is the first demonstration of nanosecond parametric generation and amplification in Op-GaP, producing 8pm light when pumped at 1.55pm. We also examine its temperature dependence in the long-wave infrared region.
