Single-mode Yb-doped Double-clad All-solid Photonic Bandgap Fiber Laser Generating 27.8W at 976nm

Abstract

We achieved 27.8W from a single-mode Yb-doped all-solid photonic bandgap fiber laser with slope efficiencies of 36.3% and 75.6% with respect to launched and absorbed pump powers respectively, setting new records for coiled fiber lasers.
