Abstract
Second harmonic generation (SHG) converted in a periodically poled LiNbO3 waveguide is investigated by microscopy. We observed distribution of the SHG intensity along the waveguide. The SHG conversion efficiency is not proportional to the square of the device length. We evaluate the SHG conversion efficiency taking into account non-negligible propagation losses.
