SESAM-mode-locked Tm:KY3F10 laser at 2340 nm

Abstract

A Tm: KY3F10 laser operating on the 3H43H5 transition (2340 nm) is mode-locked by a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror. A strong etalon effect originating from the SESAM is observed limiting the pulse duration to ~100 ps.
