Simplified Model for Studying Inter-modal Four-Wave Mixing in High-Power Yb-Doped Fiber Amplifiers

Abstract

A simplified model is presented for studying the inter-modal four-wave mixing (IMFWM) effect in high-power Yb-doped fiber amplifiers. Together with IM-FWM, the transverse mode competition is also taken into account in this model.
