Distributed Spectral Filtering for Ultrafast Fiber Lasers

Abstract

We propose a scalable method of distributed spectral filtering for multi-stage, chirped-pulse amplification fiber lasers, to compensate for gain narrowing in each stage. A proof-of-principle experiment shows bandwidth preservation after 75dB total gain.
