QCL-seeded femtosecond optical parametric amplifier operating beyond 4.5 μm

Abstract

We demonstrate a femtosecond optical parametric amplifier seeded by an external-cavity QCL, with up to 200 mW average power. The system can operate beyond 4.5 μm, with a tuning range of 300 nm (4400-4700 nm) and a pulse duration <350 fs.
