Laser diode pumped Tm:YAG single-crystal fiber laser

Abstract

We present the first Tm:YAG single-crystal fiber laser with free-space propagation of only the laser beam. An output power of 9.1 W is achieved at ~ 2.02 µm with a slope efficiency of 49.4%.
