Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate a bismuth-doped active fiber suitable for the development of fiber lasers and broadband amplifiers in the 1.3 – 1.46 µm spectral region. Here we point to the fiber features that determine its overall efficiency as well as discuss measurement results.
