Fabrication of Yb:YAG-derived silica fiber from powder-in-tube method and its application in single-frequency fiber laser

Abstract

A Yb:YAG-derived silica fiber with a doping concentration of 3.75 wt% for Yb2O3 was fabricated by powder-in-tube method. A single-frequency fiber laser was constructed using the fiber length of 1cm with 28dB-absorption at 976nm.
